Do you require assistance in filling out or submitting a benefits application? For any benefits for which you must apply, the Social Security Administration is prepared to assist you. Retirement, survivor, spouse, Medicare, and disability benefits are managed and distributed by the Social Security Administration (SSA).

You'll need to speak with an SSA official at some time if you're trying to collect benefits from any of those listed above. To do that, all you need to do is request a schedule for the appointment you want at the Social Security office. Although most SSA offices accept walk-ins, it is preferable to schedule an appointment to avoid having to wait several hours for your number to be called.
